Waterville, Maine Car Accident: One killed, another in critical condition after two-car accident near Trafton and West River Roads

Following a two-car collision at the intersection of Trafton and West River Roads, Waterville police report that one person has died.

On Wednesday, at about 2:30 p.m., the crash was reported. How the collision happened is not something that the police have disclosed.

Officials characterize the second person involved as having “significant injuries,” and they have been admitted to the hospital. Both the victim’s identity and the overall number of participants are unknown to the police.

Reconstruction and investigation of the crash are ongoing tasks for officials. Police say more details will be released “at a later date.”

There have been at least three fatal crashes this week. A reported medical incident caused the man’s car to crash into his home in Norway on Tuesday, resulting in his death.
